We're Building a House
The many systems that make up a house - like heating, electrical, plumbing, sound system wiring, computer and phone lines - have to go somewhere. Usually they are hidden, like on the roof, under the floor, in the crawl space, in the attic or in the walls.
One of our heating systems is electric forced air. The ducting that takes the hot air from the furnace to the various parts of the house is large, and it has to go somewhere. It was designed to go through the storage area, then continue through the master bath and master closet.
We can’t put it under the floor because we are on a slab. We can’t hide it in the ceiling because our beams are exposed, both upstairs and down. So, it has to go where it is. Our contractor quickly boxed it in to show us that we wouldn’t see it and we would forget that it was ever there. Crisis avoided.
