Aside from the "sticks" or lumber used to frame our home, there are lots of systems that go into the building of a home that we know are there, but we never really see - like the plumbing, heating, electrical, security and sound systems. These systems look like a bird's-nest jumble of wires, tubes, pipes and ducts that seem to hang from every piece of lumber throughout the house.
