Episode 18: The Siding Goes On
We are siding the house with lap cedar siding. There are two schools of thought about cedar siding. One school says: do nothing and let the wood go gray with age. The other school says: treat it with stain or oil so that it maintains its fresh-cedar look. We are of the second school so we gave it a natural stain before installation.
Our architect called for "weaved" corners. Lots of extra work for our contractor but we love the look.
