Eileen Corren, Principal Broker, GRI, Earthadvantage S.T.A.R certifiedMy goal is to make your real estate experience a lot simpler and less stressful
I arrived in Manzanita in 1992. My late husband and I were drawn to this perfect Oregon seaside town with its simple lifestyle, 7 miles of beach, a nearby river, magnificent state parks at either end of town, and shops, restaurants, galleries, and much more.
Who would have thought this Indiana born gal would be lucky enough to live at the beach?
I was a student at UCBerkeley during the 'free speech movement hippie era' and graduated as a married student. Did I go to college to get my MRS? Maybe so. I majored in Sociology with a minor in Psychology and subsequently stayed at home to be a full time wife and mother and raise our 3 beautiful children in the San Joaquin Valley. We moved to the Oregon coast when my husband retired from teaching at the local community college.
Selling real estate came easy to me and I have just begun my 18th year of selling and listing property in the Manzanita/Nehalem Bay area. I love working with individuals and families and helping them achieve their real estate goals.

"We had been looking for an un-built Oregon coastal lot for over five years...We retained John as a Buyer's Broker nearly two years ago to focus on Tillamook County. John initiated contact with an owner, successfully negotiated price and terms, following through on details and keeping us constantly informed by email and phone. Throughout all our dealings with John, we found him to be competent, straightforward, honest, well-informed, persevering, and especially congenial.....he was fun to be with." Sherry Hasslacher, BrokerI grew up in Orlando, Florida and moved to Oregon in 2000. I obtained a degree in Social Work from Pacific University in Forest Grove. After 9 years in the Portland Metro area as a social worker and pet sitter, I fell in love with the Oregon Coast and moved to Manzanita. I took over Ekahni Books with my husband, Franz and being a small business owner has been one of the best, most trying and most exciting experiences of my life. After almost two years in the retail book business, though, I felt like I could easily take on a new challenge. I have always loved real estate and when Walt and Kay asked if I would like to come aboard at Windermere Manzanita, it was an easy decision to make. I am very excited about helping folks buy and sell homes in this area. What I want more than anything is to help people learn about and fall in love with this place the way that I have.
As the newest agent at Windermere Manzanita, I am uniquely able to devote large amounts of time, energy and focus to my clients- both on the listing and the selling side. I also enjoy the benefit of decades of experience from my co-workers and principal brokers, who are happy to help whenever I have questions. I am lucky enough to have the best of both worlds in my career- the drive and determination of a newcomer to succeed, and the experience and abilities of my mentors to help me get there. I bring to the table not only an expansive attention to detail and a calm, professional attitude, but the willingness to listen and be flexible to achieve your goals.
In my spare time, I write the Manzanita/Nehalem/Wheeler Fencepost column for the Tillamook Headlight Herald newspaper. I also volunteer with the Nehalem Bay Emergency Volunteer Corps and Community Emergency Response Team whenever needed. I enjoy reading literary and science fiction novels, creative writing, internet surfing and nature photography.Office 503 368-6609 cell 503 341-1249
